About me

Valerie was born and raised in Ontario, Canada. 

From an early age she knew she had a passion for storytelling and motion pictures, though she thought she would become a dancer, life had other plans for her. Her family moved to Quito, Ecuador when she was 13. She was submerged in a completely different culture full of life, colour, and warmth. This experience enriched her life and gave her a unique perspective on story telling. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in Film & Television Production and a Minor in General Psychology at the Universidad San Francisco de Quito. During her University years she also formed a band and pursued her passion in music, song writing and dance, which allowed her to connect deeper with the emotional and sensorial side of visual arts. Valerie believes that story telling is a journey experienced through our emotions, “Film & music must uncover the parts of us we most often experience in our dreams, while being wide awake.”  

Remaining faithful to her love of music, Valerie thinks of visual arts as a perfect harmony, where each element contributes to accomplishing a unique product. Valerie also believes that as she grows and gains new life experience, she has access to different lenses which allows her to approach every project with a fresh new perspective.

After 3+ years producing, co-hosting, and editing YouTube videos for 3 different channels she finally started her own Vlog Channel where she shares her love for travel, music, and family. Constantly producing content has kept her eager to learn and adapt to contemporary trends while engaging with new audiences. Valerie leaves a part of herself in every project and her goal is to leave her mark in the film & online creative community. 

Her passion for Music and Performing is present in her everyday life as song-writer and lead vocalist in her band VIXIN and lead vocalist in the Latin cover band Agua-Quina. Having performed on various different stages Valerie showcases strong acting, singing and dancing skills in leading and ensemble roles.  Valerie is consistently seeking to expand her musical horizons and refine her craft. Her commitment to growth and exploration has led her to embrace new challenges, experiment with different musical styles, and collaborate with artists from diverse backgrounds. Valerie has performed everywhere from small intimate shows to big dazzling productions, such as the CS Bell Grandstand Show for over 200,000 people, she understands just how important it is to connect with all audiences and has the skillset to do so.
